Enel X, an energy company, wanted to expand its operations on the e-mobility market. They tasked us with engineering their new, iconic charging units designed by Koz Susani Design for both B2B and B2C markets, bringing them to mass production.
This project defined a clear line before and after the mobility transformation. With it, Enel X set out to enter the sector by creating the basis of future infrastructure, and we’re proud to have contributed to it.
Mechanical engineering that exceeds complex requirements
The charging stations offered a combination of challenges regarding mechanics and shape. Our work also needed to meet a complex set of industry requirements.
As part of our long partnership with Artsana and Chicco, we designed the Magic Lantern, a light that also features soothing sounds to comfort and cuddle a child in a calm, peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. The lantern’s soft, iconic shape enables it to rock gently, while its practical carry-handle makes it easy to grab and hold on to.
An icon of everyday design lauded for its form and function by the likes of Alessandro Mendini and included in the prestigious Phaidon Design Classics collection, the Tratto pen is a felt pen applying previously known technology to a simple writing tool. In 1975, FILA came to us with the request to design a new and economic pen with a signature look and feel. Our innovative proposal went on to win the Compasso d’Oro in 1979 and is still in production today, defending its status as a time-tested Italian design icon.
Our multidisciplinary team joined forces with the founders of IntendiMe, a new startup providing accessibility through an intertwined ecosystem of products including sensors, a smartwatch and an app. Applied directly to any sound source and connected via an integrated system, the sensors send alert notifications to a wearable smart device with extensive options and an intuitive interface.
Forging the future of sustainable energy, we helped FIMER to develop their new solar inverters as a starting point to turn the sun’s power into clean energy. We are proud to be part of a sustainable future, considering the environment as an integral part of our design approach.
The Pepsi Spire is a state-of-the-art touchscreen fountain dispenser that allows customers to easily mix a unique drink with a touch of a button through an engaging, user-centered design. The technology is unique in leveraging existing infrastructure to provide additional product options, like mixology, to consumers. With every pour, the connected ecosystem observes the brands and flavors people love, empowering retailers to optimize their offerings based on actual data.
