Design for unprecedented assistance

 

Trenitalia, a top-tier railway company, tasked our team with designing the new Frecciapoint: the info-point dedicated to high-speed travelers.

The project came with multiple objectives: to offer a comfortable and efficient work environment for station operators, to ensure the structure could adapt to different station settings, to make it immediately recognizable, and to reflect the premium quality of the Frecciarossa service.

Just as crucial was the need to build a reliable, convenient, and efficient supply chain to support the rollout.


The entire process began with a core principle: for Frecciarossa customers, the journey begins before boarding.

Throughout the collaboration with Trenitalia, it was important to focus on every detail and touchpoint that defines the high-speed travel experience.
The brand new Frecciapoint is defined by its unique geometric shape, iconic red walls that echo the brand’s identity, and a large three-sided glass façade.
This transparency turns the structure into a landmark within the station, designed to create direct and immediate contact between travelers and assistance staff.

 

 

 

Inside, the quality of service is elevated through a complete workstation that includes refined ergonomics, adjustable climate control, premium materials, and optimal lighting.
Numerous integrated details and technologies support and streamline assistance operations, making the experience smoother and more efficient for both users and operators.

Modularity was also a key design feature. The Frecciapoint was conceived to be easily installed and placed side by side in stations requiring a larger presence. In line with today’s essential sustainability requirements, these next-generation hubs are built to last. They can be repaired or customized directly at the station, significantly reducing transport costs and enabling rapid intervention when needed.

Finally, safety — a fundamental aspect in any station environment — was addressed with care. The Frecciapoint ensures protection for both staff and users through its robust structure and secure closure system during inactive periods.
