Design Group Italia at G20 Rome

We’re pleased to announce that our multidisciplinary design of D-Heart, the connected ECG device, and Enel X Juicepole e-charging station that we engineered, are part of the exhibition Italian Design, created on the occasion of G20 Rome.

Curated by ADI and the ADI Design Museum for the Ministry of Culture and the Delegation for the Italian Presidency of the G20, Italian Design brings together the three keywords of the G20 (People, Planet, Prosperity) with three principles that are intended to inspire Italian design today more than ever before. These three principles are Innovation, Creativity, Responsibility.

These ideas will be represented by 41 Made in Italy design objects on display at the EUR, La Nuvola, and the Palazzo dei Congressi where the G20 events are taking place. We’re proud to see our work for D-Heart and Enel X JuicePole included in the selection.

D-Heart is a portable, easy-to-use ECG device that connects via Bluetooth to an accompanying smartphone or tablet app. The app guides the user step-by-step to perform a reliable 8/12 lead ECG independently. The results can then be sent to a telecardiology service or the patient’s personal doctor.
Design Group Italia designed the digital app, physical device, service journey, and packaging of D-Heart.

Enel X JuicePole is the outdoor charging unit for e-mobility, engineered by Design Group Italia and designed by Koz Susani Design for both B2B and B2C markets, to be located in an urban environment for public use. Featuring an iconic, customizable, and practical design and an intuitive LED interface, JuicePole is Enel X’s first charging unit launched upon taking on the e-mobility market.

G20, the international forum that brings together institutional representatives of the world’s leading economies will be held in Rome on 30th and 31st October.
This year Italy has the Presidency and the event will see a Summit meeting involving the Heads of States and Government representatives of the member states.

ADI President Luciano Galimberti says,
“Innovation, responsibility, and creativity are the keys to the interpretation of the selection of products on offer. They all represent valuable tools that Italian design uses in contributing daily to the experimentation process aimed at an ever better future, but they also represent the highly distinctive features of Italian design in the shape of a methodological approach combined with an innate attitude, a way of understanding design in itself”.
