CLS – Dymation Center

The hidden side of automation

Dymation, a provider of logistics automation solutions, turned to our Space Design team to shape its new Experience Center. The goal was to create a physical space capable of tangibly presenting the company’s custom solution-driven approach.

Conceived as an immersive environment for customers, partners and stakeholders, the Experience Center allows visitors to directly experience how Dymation develops tailored logistics solutions around each client’s operational needs. Rather than focusing exclusively on technology and automation, the project was designed to communicate the strategic relationship between software, robotics and human expertise.

At the core of the Experience Center is the interaction with the proprietary software platform managing logistics flows and robotic operations. Through a dedicated dashboard, visitors can activate specific missions and observe how robots and automated systems respond in real time.

The experience then expands into the main demonstration area, where machinery and robotic solutions can be explored up close, as well as into a dedicated VR zone designed to showcase digital twin simulations and operational scenarios.

Collaboration became the foundation of the project from the very beginning. The process started with an extensive research and co-creation phase involving stakeholder interviews, workshops and strategic sessions with the Dymation team.

This shared groundwork allowed the full understanding of the company’s services, technologies, audiences and business objectives, shaping a spatial narrative capable of supporting both customer engagement and technical dialogue, reinforcing Dymation’s positioning as a technology partner rather than simply a hardware provider.

The new Dymation’s Experience Center hosts dedicated workshops, live demonstrations, collaborative sessions and open-day events, becoming both a showroom and a working environment for co-design activities with clients. The entire experience was developed in close alignment with the company’s renewed brand identity, ensuring coherence across architecture, interaction and communication touchpoints.

“The main challenge was to shift the focus from the hardware to the solutions that Dymation builds around each customer’s specific needs – the hidden side of automation. This is key to the project as it is also the emphasis of all their communication and is what they describe as the hidden side of automation.  It was great to be able to work closely with the client to build our understanding of their services and technology so that we could translate that into an experience that is relevant and engaging for all visitors.”
