A digital journey for easy hearing care
Amplifon X, the business unit of Amplifon dedicated to developing innovative digital solutions, partnered with our Digital Product Design Team to redefine how people interact with hearing health in their everyday lives.
The Amplifon App evolved from a companion tool for hearing aids into a comprehensive digital ecosystem that helps users manage their
devices, monitor their hearing wellbeing, access professional support and stay engaged with their care journey through a seamless and accessible
experience, thanks also to an AI-powered assistant capable of providing immediate guidance.
The project aligned around a single strategic vision: transforming hearing care
from a series of isolated interactions into a continuous digital journey. A shift that places people, rather than devices, at the centre of the experience and creates a stronger connection between daily hearing wellbeing and professional care.
The structure of the Amplifon App reflects this vision through a clear and accessible experience designed around users’ everyday needs.
Improved hearing aid connectivity, simplified controls, AI-powered assistance, and personalised insights work together to make hearing care more intuitive, reducing complexity while increasing confidence and independence. Beyond device management, Amplifon App empowers users to monitor their hearing health, book appointments, and contact customer support.
The app also provides access to articles and tutorials to enhance everyday use. Non-users can explore an education area with 3D auditory system animations and a self-guided hearing check, promoting prevention and awareness.
Managing hearing wellbeing is an ongoing process that involves understanding hearing health, adjusting devices, accessing support, and staying informed over time.
The Amplifon App brings these moments together through guided setup, intuitive sound controls, and personalised listening programmes, reducing the need for in-store assistance. Throughout the project, qualitative usability testing played a central role in shaping the experience. Insights gathered from users helped refine interactions, simplify complex tasks, and improve accessibility, ensuring that the platform remained intuitive, reassuring, and easy to navigate across different levels of digital confidence.

Together, the Amplifon X team and our digital product design team created an award-winning experience that combines accessibility, innovation and hearing care expertise, recognized with the iF Design Award 2026.
