Discover the Flos world

Italian lighting brand Flos tasked us with the design of its Scandinavian headquarters at D Studio Copenhagen, the prestigious, new design complex at Holmen, where we also created a stunning, new exhibition area for the brand.

The showroom spreads over the entire first floor of the historical building, offering a comprehensive display of decorative, architectural and outdoor collections.

The new Flos showroom is part of D Studio, the first design retail destination and multi-brand experience we created for Design Holding, the home of iconic brands including B&B Italia, Maxalto, Azucena, Arclinea, and Louis Poulsen.

The architectural showroom

The area targeted at professionals centers on a series of inspiring visual journeys that convey the vital concepts of lighting design and illustrate the specific qualities and functions of different lighting fixtures and systems. The Bespoke area showcases unique examples of customized lighting and tailor-made solutions for large-scale projects, while the ‘Moments of light’ journey demonstrates how light can create an atmosphere and change perceptions. The experience includes a space to co-design in a lab-like, creative environment where visitors can discover how architectural lighting is not just a technical detail, but an integral part of any project.

The decorative showroom

The other half of the showroom is dedicated to the iconic designs of Flos. A simple, modular system that introduces colour to best emphasise the iconic products and allows space for the characteristic building architecture.

Our goal was to find the right balance between the beautiful building, the products, and the light itself. We’re able to get the result by a team of both interior and lighting designers working closely together from the clients’ needs through to the detailed realization.
