He has worked on a wide spectrum of design projects across sectors that include healthcare, lighting, food, and destinations, for clients such as Blue Lagoon Iceland, Pepsico, ABB, 3M, Unilever, and Unicef.
Sigurdur has lectured on design worldwide at academic institutions that include IED, Politecnico di Milano and Iceland Academy of the Arts. He is active in promoting design as a driving force of responsible innovation and social development, and spearheaded the first Icelandic national design policy. He is a member of the Associazione Disegno Industriale, and the Association of Industrial Designers of Iceland. He received his Bachelor of Science in Industrial and Product Design from the Istituto Europeo di Design.
