A pioneering design retail destination


Design Holding approached us with the challenge of creating a completely new, unrivaled design destination in which for the first time, the legendary brands of contemporary furniture and lighting including B&B Italia, Maxalto, Azucena, Arclinea, Flos, and Louis Poulsen would come together in an innovative setting, a place where design can be encountered, celebrated, and acquired, all under one roof. 

We translated this vision into a new retail destination format, naming it D Studio and designing it to host all the brands under the same house. The result: The newest hub for creativity and design in Copenhagen, Denmark.

A new approach to design retail 

D Studio is a place for contemporary design culture, a natural go-to point for design lovers and professionals alike. An interactive experience within the store merges physical with digital, allowing for inspiration, perusal, design, discovery, and beyond. 


We drew on our holistic approach, applying branding, customer journeys and digital design through to interiors and lighting, as well as the sensitivity it takes to transform Design Holding’s bold vision into reality, all the way to the smallest detail.

A hybrid customer experience 

D Studio provides an innovative space for easy movement between physical and digital retail for both private or contract clients. ‘Phygital’ customer experience elements are integrated throughout the spaces to support customers in selecting and perfecting their product or the entire project. Going far and beyond the standard digital offering based on on-screen technology, the D Studio experience is seamless.
