Julie Blitzer to speak at SXSW

on cross-cultural, multilingual and localized design

7 March Mar 2018

Our Digital User Experience Manager Julie Blitzer will speak at SXSW on March 11.

Julie will lead a panel discussion on cross-cultural, multilingual and localized design. Today’s devices, interfaces, screens and apps are no longer local. The panel will introduce empirical research and field experiences on how people from different cultures, languages and places may interact with digital products and services differently through real-world examples of successes and failures. The panelists will offer design heuristics for how to approach interactive projects considering globalisation, multilingualism and cultural sensitivity.

Julie has worked on projects with startups, e-commerce, consumer electronics, fashion, banking, education, non-profit, and governments. She is expert not only in the practical UI side of UX but also in user research methods and the intersection between design and business. The event is a panel discussion, and it takes place at Austin Convention Center, Next Stage on March 11.
