Mobile health technologies are revolutionizing cardiovascular medicine. However, more than 80% of heart disease-related deaths occur in developing countries, where recent innovations for healthcare aren’t available.

We recently helped the D-Heart team turn their idea for the first smart-phone based electrocardiograph into reality by taking care of the design of both the digital app, physical device and packaging. Read the case study on the design of the digital app, physical device and packaging here.

D-Heart is active in on four different continents in the development of affordable and operator-oriented cardiovascular screening campaigns, partnering with NGOs such as AMREF, private foundations as well as benefit corporations.

These images were taken by Giovanni Giusto during recent telecardiology screening programs in Kenya and Senegal. Learn more about D-Heart and their work here in the developing countries here.
